Tri-State Tournaments organizes youth sporting events throughout the region by coordinating registrations, scheduling, facilities, officials, and tournament operations. The Walmart Distribution Center in Mankato opened in 2015. We service Walmart Stores, Supercenters, and Sam’s Clubs in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. We are strictly a perishable building, meaning we ship items that need to be in a cooler or a freezer. We receive products from vendors from around the world, process and organize under strict standards in a temperature controlled environment, then ship out orders to around 120 different stores and clubs. We ship an average of 215,000 cases a day, which is the equivalent of 140 semi’s. We are more than just a warehouse than unloads and loads product. Collaboration is the key to our success, different departments specialize in different parts of the business to help operations run as smoothly as possible. We have Quality Assurance, Quality Inspectors, Quality Control, Systems/IT specialist, Maintenance, Implementation, Profile teams, Asset Protection, and of course Transportation. The plan is to open our automated building in 2027.
