The Eagan city government works together with residents, businesses, and other stakeholders, to make Eagan an excellent place to call home. Eagan has an elected mayor and four council members with an appointed city administrator. The city administrator oversees the day-to-day administrative duties for the city while the mayor and council maintain traditional policy making roles.

The Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation is a private collaboration of approximately 250 regional business and community leaders within Benton, Sherburne and Stearns counties in central Minnesota. The charge of the GSDC is to spearhead the economic development efforts of the greater St. Cloud region by identifying and unifying opportunities to engage community leaders, foster business growth, expand and nurture the areaâ€™s talent base and support the communities that make up the greater St. Cloud region.

The Department of Labor and Industry ensures Minnesota's work and living environments are equitable, healthy and safe. The agency oversees the state's programs for apprenticeship, construction codes and licensing, dual-training pipeline, occupational safety and health, wage and hour standards, workers' compensation and youth skills training programs.
The MnDOT team in District 6 plans, designs, constructs and maintains the state and federal highway systems within district boundaries.
