New Opportunity Available:
The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota is excited to invite high school students who have completed grades 10th, 11th or 12th to apply for the Summer Health Experience (SHE) in Oncology. This two-week, online program offers an excellent opportunity for students interested in cancer research, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, care, and patient support.
Students will learn directly from Professor Leena Hilakivi-Clarke, PhD, a leading cancer researcher at The Hormel Institute who focuses on how diet impacts breast cancer risk and mortality. In addition, students will have the chance to engage with renowned cancer experts from institutions such as the Masonic Cancer Center, Mayo Clinic, University of Wisconsin–Madison, Medical College of Wisconsin, and the University of Iowa.

Eligibility Requirements:

Full-time high school students who have completed 10th, 11th, or 12th grade at the time of application (preference will be given to students in rural Southeast Minnesota communities)
