Northern Valley Animal Clinic provides comprehensive veterinary services for dogs and cats, including wellness care, vaccinations, surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, rehabilitation, and emergency services. The clinic combines advanced medical care with client education to help pets live healthier lives.
During this educator externship, the participant will shadow veterinarians and veterinary technicians to observe daily clinic operations and gain a better understanding of common veterinary procedures. The experience includes observing patient examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, surgery preparation, medical record documentation, and communication with pet owners.
Students can connect classroom learning in biology, anatomy, chemistry, animal science, and health sciences to authentic careers in veterinary medicine. The experience also highlights the importance of communication, teamwork, professionalism, critical thinking, and compassionate care in a modern veterinary practice.
