During this educator externship, participants will observe a CNC machining class and manufacturing floor to understand how English language skills are used throughout the workplace. Employees regularly read technical manuals, machining textbooks, work instructions, blueprints, and production documents while communicating with coworkers to troubleshoot problems, document processes, and manufacture precision parts.
This experience demonstrates how classroom reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills directly support successful careers in advanced manufacturing.
