This event is a highlight of the year in the BCC. Kicking off the school year with 500+ youth from local high schools, students will be exploring careers, companies, and industries. We would love to have your business part of our 2023-24 kick-off event!

When: Thursday, September 21, 2023

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., set up by 8:45, lunch break included

Where: Caledonia High School – outdoor and indoor spaces

Who: Area employers, businesses, organizations

Why: Meet future employees. Connect with youth for experiential learning opportunities like job shadow, mentorship, and work experience. Visit with educators about classroom speaking opportunities or student projects. Showcase your company and industry.

Schedule of the day.

Set Up: 7:15-8:45 a.m.
School Groups: 9a.m.-2:30*
Lunch: 12-TBD*

90-minute appointments for schools:
(5 min.) Welcome students
(35-40 min.) Students explore all booths
(5 min.) Students move to booth of interest
(35-40 min.) Small-group discussions at booth (feel free to use grassy area and spread out)
(10 min.) Door prizes, feedback and farewell

*Note: The final school group will either be 1:00-2:30 or 12:30-2:00. Either way, you will have a set lunch break.
