The program benefits from small classroom size and direct interaction with professors who are published authors of textbooks and scientific papers. Faculty student ratio is 1:4 in the classroom and laboratory and 1:1 in the clinical patient care setting.

- Facilitation of tours and job shadowing that can include connections in Fargo/Minnesota area for students not able to get to Bismarck, ND.
- Guest Speaking and Guest Instruction has included topics such as:

- Leadership education for students including workplace readiness, building goals and a leadership plan, soft skills, etc.
- What is Respiratory Therapy? Allowing students to work with equipment hands on and providing information about this field.

- Cardiopulmonary physiology and anatomy topics

- Healthcare topic education
Our program is also a great option for students considering advanced degrees such as Medical School or Physician Assistant. Our curriculum allows them to get the pre-requisites required for application and acceptance to those schools, but also gives them hands-on clinic experience and evidence based research practice.
