About the SACC Program
Rochester Public Schools School Age Child Care Program (SACC) will provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can feel they are significant and they belong. Our goals are to:
-
Provide children with a safe, healthy environment where staff will strive to meet emotional, social, and physical needs.
-
Create a happy, warm, exciting environment that is inviting, comfortable, flexible, and manageable for children.
-
Offer a variety of activities such as arts, crafts, STEM, self-directed play, physical interaction, reading, and more.
-
Provide individual guidance to children based on careful observation of each child’s needs and in keeping with parent or guardian direction.
-
Support and collaborate with the children’s teachers and school administrators in building a stable and consistent team–promote an environment where children may learn and grow.
We are here to provide you with a childcare option located in all of the RPS elementary schools to make managing work and school easier for your family. Our program is offered throughout the summer, school year, and on Non-School Enrichment Days (NSEDs).
A full breakdown of costs can be found on our Registration and Fees page. For information on days school is delayed, canceled, or closing early, visit our Inclement Weather page. Additional information on field trips, standards and staffing, the handling of medications and allergies, attire, food options, and much more is available in our Parent/Guardian Handbook.
