Not many folks think about the pins that hold wheels on rollercoasters, or the massive bolts that hold a bridge up in their day to day lives but it is the machinists at Fastenal Manufacturing that make sure the parts they make each day are made to print and tested so that you don't have to worry about it in your day to day life. Machinists at Fastenal Manufacturing work from a blueprint to create a program and machine the part from a CNC machine. Upon completion of the part they revert back to the blueprint to verify with precision measuring tools that the part is correct. Finally the part is packaged for transport to the customer. Everything from start to finish is done by one machinist which is what makes the day fly by for our employees and allows a different feel and challenge to each work day.
