6W Community Corrections

6W Community Corrections is a regional probation and parole agency operating under Minnesota’s Community Corrections Act. It serves four west-central Minnesota counties: Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Swift, and Yellow Medicine.

The agency oversees court-ordered supervision and support services for adults and juveniles on probation or supervised release. 6W’s vision is to promote public safety, accountability, and rehabilitation through evidence-based practices, providing a community-based alternative to incarceration for those who qualify.

Corrections Agent's work closely with those they supervise, Courts, Law Enforcement, Social Services, treatment provider's, etc. in order to develop a success plan while still holding those they supervise accountable and working to protect public safety.  6W Community Corrections has office locations in Montevideo, Granite Falls, Benson and Madison.
