The Hormel Institute’s Micro BioDiscovery Internship program for high school students is to actively engage those who have completed 9th – 11th grade and show an interest in biomedical research science. The program seeks to ignite students’ enthusiasm for cancer biology, career development, and research opportunities. Through this internship, participants will gain valuable insights through exploration, relevance, relationships, rigor, and results. It presents a distinctive chance for students to learn through both observation and hands-on experiences, allowing them to delve into various areas within the biomedical research science domain.
Students will have 5 hour work day with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch= 20 hours of internship work time
Week 1 (6/24) 9:00-2:30
Week 2 (7/1) 9:00-2:30
Week 3 (7/8) 9:00-2:30
Week 4 (7/15) 9:00-2:30
