Want to have a voice in the future of statewide testing in Minnesota?
The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) has created a 28-member Testing and Assessment Task Force to review Minnesota’s current standardized testing and assessment system and develop recommendations for possible changes.
Students selected to participate will have an opportunity to bring the student perspective directly into this statewide conversation. The task force will examine the effectiveness of the current assessment system and consider ways testing could become more adaptive, timely, informative, and relevant to student learning.
This is an opportunity for students interested in education, public policy, government, research, data, or student leadership to see how statewide decisions are discussed and developed while contributing their own experiences and ideas.
