Prosthetic Technician – Internship

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:

We are offering a fully immersive 1-week opportunity to work alongside a Certified Prosthetist to gain the knowledge and experience of this exciting field of health science.  Using concepts of biomechanics and engineering, you will observe the process of fitting, building and modifying prosthetic limbs.  Our model of care is focused on the individual needs of each client and you will quickly discover the human connections are an integral part of our day.

All tasks will be performed under the guidance of certified prosthetists and technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS: (practical experience is not required)

Must be 16+ years of age
Creativity, positivity and a curious mind!
Desire to learn and conceptualize complex information
A demonstrated interest in science, biomechanics, physiology, engineering

Maturity and ability to follow safety rules and compliance regulations

HOURS:

We recognize the importance of truancy at school.  However, due to the unique nature of this field we request that you choose 1 week (Mon-Fri) that you are able to spend with us here from the hours of 9:00 am- 4:00 pm.

We are happy to coordinate a week that works best for you

PAY:

$18 per hour
