DESCRIPTION:As you know\, preparing youth for successful careers in healthcare requires hands-on experience and exposure to cutting-edge technology. To better support those with an interest in healthcare in southeast Minnesota\, we are excited to invite you to the Collaborative Healthcare Learning & Simulation Center Open House on Thursday\, February 6th\, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the First Floor\, Massey Building\, 202 1st Ave SE\, Rochester\, MN 55902. \nThis innovative center\, a collaborative effort between our region’s educational institutions\, addresses critical training challenges faced by both students and educators.\n• Limited access to training facilities: Overbooked private training spaces hinder collaborative learning and hands-on experience.\n• High cost of technology: Access to state-of-the-art equipment is often prohibitively expensive\, limiting student exposure to the latest advancements in healthcare. \nThe Simulation Center aims to overcome these barriers by providing:\n• Shared access to state-of-the-art technology: Experience immersive virtual simulations\, explore interactive virtual anatomy tables\, and gain hands-on experience in a realistic training environment.\n• Enhanced collaborative learning opportunities: The center facilitates collaborative training experiences\, preparing students for the teamwork and communication skills crucial for success in healthcare professions.\n• A valuable resource for CTE programs: The Simulation Center can serve as a valuable resource for your CTE programs\, providing students with unique learning experiences and enhancing their career readiness. \nJoin us at the Open House to:\n• Explore our simulation space\n• Experience an immersive virtual simulation\n• Try out an interactive virtual anatomy table\n• Discover the future of healthcare education and training \nWe believe this center will be a valuable asset to our region’s healthcare education ecosystem.
