A Curious Place for Discovery!
BioDiscovery Summer High School internship program at The Hormel Institute is incredible opportunity for high school students who are interested in the field of biomedical research. This program is specifically designed for students who will be entering grades 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the 2025-2026 school year.
The BioDiscovery Internship provides a unique chance for students to explore cancer biology, gain hands-on research experience, and engage with professionals in the biomedical field. Participants will have the opportunity to build relationships, enhance their understanding of scientific research, and develop skills that are valuable for future careers in the biomedical sciences.
Program Details:
Eligibility: High school students who are entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade.
Application Deadline: May 2, 2025.
Selection Notification: Early May (selected applicants will be notified by email).
Acceptance Confirmation Deadline: June 1, 2025.
The internship will take place over two sets of dates:
July 8, 9 & 10: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Lab 1)
July 15, 16 & 17: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Lab 2)
