Hosted by Minnesota State Colleges and High Schools\, the camp features technical sessions\, hands-on tinkering with RC cars\, and painting RC car bodies in professional paint booths. Campers also participate in two VIP industry tours\, build technical confidence\, and develop teamwork and employability skills. The experience concludes with an epic race where students showcase their RC driving skills and compete for the best time with friends—all while gaining valuable exposure to the transportation industry.

SUMMARY:Summer Healthcare Experience (SHE) in Oncology
DESCRIPTION:SHE (Summer Healthcare Experience) in Oncology is a virtual\, multi-institutional\, synchronous program for high school students. Current freshmen\, sophomores\, and juniors interested in STEM are encouraged to apply. Program activities are designed to foster an interest in health-related careers\, recognizing the unique challenges of rural Minnesotans. Programming is delivered in part through a partnership with eCLOSE Institute. SHE in Oncology is funded by the American Cancer Society. \nPROGRAM DESCRIPTION:\nThe Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center is pleased to enroll up to 20 SHE in Oncology applicants each year. Over the course of two weeks\, students collaborate with peers from the Midwest on a genetics-based research project and a patient case study project to explore facets of cancer science and clinical care. Students also participate in faculty lectures\, panel discussions\, and skill building workshops to acquire knowledge and network for their next steps on biomedical career pathways.

SUMMARY:Mayo Clinic High School Volunteer Program
DESCRIPTION:The High School Volunteer Program in Rochester is accepting applications from area high school students. Students will be expected to provide weekly volunteer service from September 2025 through January 2026. Volunteer opportunities are available in clinical and nonclinical areas. \nHow to apply\nHigh school students aged 14 to 18 can apply from July 28 to Aug. 4. Applications will not be accepted after Aug. 4. There will be a cap on the number of students able to participate as volunteers. Applicants are encouraged to apply early within the application window\, as spots at orientation are limited. \nApplicants and their parents or guardians are encouraged to attend a virtual information session on Wednesday\, July 23\, from 4 to 5 p.m. The session will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams\, and participants must register in advance. Once registered\, applicants will receive a link to the virtual session via email. The session will cover program structure and benefits and introduce different service opportunities and requirements. Attendance at the informational session is strongly recommended but not required. \nApplicants and their parents or guardians must attend a High School Volunteer Orientation session on Aug. 5 or Aug. 7 at 4:30 p.m. The orientation will be held at the Joseph Lecture Hall (Joseph Building\, Main Level\, Room 59\, Saint Marys Campus). The session will review available service opportunities and placements in detail\, and cover onboarding requirements and program expectations.
